Council on Aging (COA)

ok

The Council On Aging (COA) assists Rockland’s senior citizens with any problems and encourages participation in events and activities. Our objectives are:

  • To identify the total needs of the elderly population of the community.
  • To educate the community and enlist support and participation of the citizens about their needs.
  • To implement services.
  • To cooperate with the MA Executive Office and Elder Affairs, and to be cognizant of State and Federal legislation programs regarding elders.

Our Congregate Lunch program is a great way to socialize and have a nutritious meal. All meals are well balanced, including milk and dessert, prepared on site by North River School staff and students.  Lunch is served Monday through Friday at 12:00 Noon. The cost is $4.00.  Sandwiches and salads are also offered (various prices) and need to be ordered no later than 11:15am.  The menu can be seen by clicking the link on the left of your screen.

Please see our newsletter by clicking here, "Rockland Review" to see days and times for activities, programs and special events that are happening at our Senior Center!
