We recommend Rockland residents download The Town of Rockland Trash App from your android or apple cell phone for the most up-to-date scheduling.
- The next trash delay will be the week of May 30, 2022, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
- Trash bills will typically be mailed to residents 10 – 15 days after water & sewer bills.
- Residents can request to have bills emailed directly to them at no additional charge.
- The Town of Rockland has an abundance of the IHealth Rapid COVID Tests. Rockland residents can pick up tests at the Board of Health or Selectmen’s office. Proof of residency is required.
- FDA has extended the shelf life of the test kits - announcement from iHealth
- Town Hall offices will be closed:
- April 15, 2022, at 12:30
- April 18, 2022, in observance of the Patriots Day holiday

Rockland Recycling Center (RRC)
- RRC will be closed
- April 17, 2022, in observance of Easter Sunday
- April 18, 2022, in observance of the Patriots Day holiday
- The Swap Shop is open every Sunday from April 1, 2022, to Oct 31, 2022
- RRC Vouchers will be available May 16, 2022 – September 30, 2022, and will expire December 31, 2022
- Proof of homeownership is required
- RRC Stickers renewals will be available beginning May 16, 2022, at the Board of Health Office ONLY – Red Stickers will expire on June 30, 2022
Proof of Rockland registration is required
Residents of the Town trash service can obtain 2 Stickers for $10.00
- Residents who have private services can obtain 2 Stickers for $20.00
- Residents can obtain the following self-service recycled material at no cost (shovel, bucket, etc. needed)
- Loam
- Compost
- Woodchips
