Private Trash Form Private Trash Contracting Requirements
Commercial and/or Residents that opt out of using the Town rubbish collection service must adhere to the following requirements:
- A copy of the private contract must be submitted to the Board of Health office quarterly. Property address must be located on contract. Along with Private Trash Request Form
- Hauler must be permitted through the Town of Rockland.
- Residents and Commercial businesses are not allowed to transport trash to a different location.
- If the contract is entered midway through a trash billing cycle, resident is still responsible for that quarterly trash bill. (residential only)
- The resident will not be removed from billing until such as all outstanding trash bills are paid.
- Private contracted receptacles cannot be placed curbside for collection. Service must be from the resident’s / business property.
- No single-family home can have a permanent dumpster on their property.
- You must have a recycling receptacle as well.
